ServerCare™
ChampionCare™ incorporates services for both AIX- and Intel-based server systems. The ServerCare process provides you the critical information you need to ensure optimum server performance. We identify potential system bottlenecks or points-of-failure, recommend appropriate system configurations, and report on performance trends and potential future issues.
The ServerCare process has three basic steps, details of which may vary depending on whether your servers are AIX-based or Intel-based.
First, we conduct a complete system inventory. Included are system type; network, memory and attached disk configurations; adapter and slot assignments; system firmware and microcode levels of directly attached adapters and devices; installed software; active processes and services; known security vulnerabilities; user accounts or groups; and physical disks, Volume Groups, Logical Volumes and File system assignments/checks.
Second, we analyze system performance during a defined study period. Included in the analysis are CPU and memory utilization, network statistics and utilization, disk input/output and utilization, and file system structure and utilization.
Third, we provide you with a written report and recommendations to improve server performance. We identify configuration changes, plus applicable software fixes and upgrades, to enhance performance and address potential bottlenecks. We also identify basic security vulnerabilities relating to the system.
